Biography
Anne Eileen Meggitt was born in 1930 in Sarasota, Florida and grew up in Berkshire, England. After living most of her adult life in Africa, East Malaysia and Saskatchewan, Canada, she moved to Victoria where she continued to paint and exhibit her work, only just completing an exhibition of current work in July/August 2020.
At age 90, Anne died peacefully in Victoria, British Columbia, on 25th September 2020. Anne lived her extraordinary and fulfilling life with joy, determination and passion. In memory of Anne, and her love of trees in nature, please consider dedicating a tree to the Woodland Trust, or making a donation to the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery where then Director/Curator, Heather Smith curated her 1999 and in 2010 exhibitions of large landscape oil paintings.
